The campground sits on a terraced hillside at the south end of Sullivan Lake at an elevation of 2,600 feet. Sullivan Lake spans 1,291 acres and is 320 feet deep. Abundant aspen and maple trees create vibrant colors in the area during the fall. Bighorn sheep can often be spotted in the area. The 1.1-million acre Colville National Forest lies in the northeast corner of Washington State. The forest's great salmon runs first attracted Native Americans to the area, then miners, homesteaders and fur trappers followed. Its variety of resources and natural beauty continues to attract visitors today. |
